For more than a decade, Infinite Red has been working with leading companies to design, build, and ship their React Native apps. Several faces on our team might be familiar. We're the voices behind React Native Radio, the team who created Ignite, and the hosts of the wildly popular Chain React Conference. We believe in providing expertise without ego, and that's why we're often referred to as the friendly team of React Native experts.

Design Lead
Justin leads our design team with a deep comprehension of digital strategy, interconnecting business goals and design so each supports the other. An advocate for intentional design in all things, he keeps the end user at the forefront of the process each step of the way. When he’s not traveling, you’ll find Justin in Portland, reading and enjoying a cup of great coffee… unless he’s rewatching The Office or Arrested Development. He is inspired by everyday objects designed with thought and purpose.
Senior Designer
Jenna is the designer who jumps into documentation at the start of a project and secretly loves it. She’s a proponent of efficiency in design and enjoys collaborating across departments to achieve a holistic and unified product. Design is also a passion for Jenna outside of work, and she can frequently be found in antique shops. She collects foxes—fox-related objects, not literal foxes! Jenna’s heard that she has a green thumb, but her succulents have said otherwise.

Bryan started his tech career working at the first computer store in the world. He has since worked for Apple, Microsoft, and a few other companies before landing at Infinite Red. Since the Web 1.0 days he’s focused on the backend—lately in Elixir, though he enjoys React Native too. He is passionate about always continuing to learn. Bryan’s notable skills and achievements include volunteering at a local historic movie theatre, opening champagne with a sword, visiting Montana for exactly 4 seconds, and witnessing the filming of the infamous “jumping the shark” scene from Happy Days.

Dan is a pro when it comes to solving those head-scratching problems on a project that get more complicated by the minute. It doesn’t intimidate him though – he pushes himself to understand the problem inside and out so he can share that with the team in a way that’s simple and straightforward. When he’s not deep in the woods on his latest code, Dan is trying hard to be a recovering coffee snob (the Portland group knows this all too well), renovating his home (his favorite hobby), and spending time with his family in the outdoors of South Carolina.
Principal Software Engineer
Darin has been a professional software developer long enough for his career to have its own college degree. His main focus is web development (Ruby/Rails and Elixir/Phoenix), and he has worked on apps for everything from banking to social media to robotic arms. A personal highlight was working on a news-focused mobile app that provided deeper context for headlines. In another life, Darin was a composer for film, theatre, TV, dance, and radio ads. He still composes and plays piano, and great music will always be one of his biggest inspirations.
Principal Software Engineer
Derek brings over 20 years of development experience across a wide range of languages and platforms, including Ruby On Rails, React.js, and React Native. He excels at complex solutions, like his Harvest Integration plugin for Invision using Tampermonkey, which greatly improved our design team’s workflow. A native Californian, Derek is married with a college-age daughter. He’s an enthusiastic cook and foodie as well as a professional musician. Ask him about the time he met Yoko Ono!

Frank is the type of software engineer that knows how to navigate his way around the inner workings of a project. He’s all about tracking metrics and making measurable improvements. With a background in compliance software, he can breeze through complexities others find intimidating. Perhaps that’s why he also feels at home in the gym bodybuilding or learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu – he likes focusing on the small details that add up to big wins. Originally from New York, it’s no surprise that Frank is always on the lookout for a good slice of pizza or a shot of espresso (something he may not find until he visits Portland, at least according to our west coast group).
Senior Software Engineer

Josh has a special talent for battle testing his code as a software engineer. Don’t believe us? He once wrote hundreds of unit tests and dozens of integration tests for a codebase he was working on (we’re not kidding). Pushing himself to new heights is perhaps the reason why he enjoys hiking so much. He loves hiking around the Pacific Northwest, but his favorite is a series of hikes in Colorado that all cross 14,000 feet in elevation (it’s almost tiring just to think about). Josh is currently living in Portland, OR with his new leopard gecko named Murphy.
Software Engineer
Kate’s consistently positive and curious approach to software development is a mirror of her life outside of work. Kate and her family are world travelers that love to experience a new country with unique food (she’s personally visited over a dozen countries). Kate is special because she effortlessly toes the line between technical and useful. She’s not afraid to speak up when she sees improvements in the code or user experience. She’s highly skilled in React Native, but she also has her hand in React and GraphQL.

Lizzi’s superpower as a software engineer is her eye for detail without losing the bigger picture. But she doesn’t stop there. She also believes in meeting people where they are – which is why accessibility is core to her approach as a software engineer. She will always push for her projects to be more accessible to users. Lizzi’s meticulous approach to work is perhaps why she looks for the unexpected in the world: whether it’s enjoying improv comedy, a Dungeons & Dragons show, or exploring what art the latest AI algorithm can generate.

Mazen is a natural when it comes to teaching: both in his career and community. You can see it in the time he spends mentoring and coaching those around him. Whether it’s teaching React Native for the students at Gaza Sky Geeks or coaching a youth soccer team in his free time, Mazen’s ability to teach is his superpower. His interest in community and culture has led him all over the world, trying whichever food is unique to that place – he even tried rotten shark in Iceland (and lived to tell us about it).

Simran understands the important role that technology plays in everyday life. She knows how to make something complex seem relatable, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t afraid to dive into the details. Simran’s ability to laser focus on debugging is one of her strengths as a software engineer. She’s not afraid to get into the weeds of a project to make it better. Simran’s also a natural at communicating big, complex topics to the rest of us. In fact, she’s so good at it that Simran and her husband run their very own YouTube channel with over 188K subscribers (yes, you read that correctly).
Senior Software Engineer
Trevor thinks deeply about a project’s experience. He looks at it from multiple angles, putting himself into the shoes of the user. But that’s not at all: he cares just as deeply about the experience of the software engineers as well. It’s important to him that React Native is both interesting and fun for the entire team. Trevor’s also someone who knows how to truly make a project memorable. Just ask the Toronto Star: he literally took a rundown seafood karaoke bar and turned it around so dramatically that it was awarded as the “hottest and best bar in the city” (no verdict on the quality of the karaoke).
Senior Software Engineer
