Infinite Red

Fintech apps, built in React Native.

Nobody forgives a money app.

Finance isn’t the place for vibe coded apps. Your users open your app to manage real money. If a balance looks stale or a payment hangs, they don’t file a bug report. They lose confidence and move their money somewhere else. A FinTech app has a higher bar for security, stability, and privacy, and that’s where Infinite Red comes in.

We built SeedFi’s React Native foundation in two weeks.

SeedFi built credit products for people traditional banks overlook. Two of our engineers spent two weeks with their team. Their words, not ours:

“We hired Infinite Red to build a foundation for our mobile app and to teach our front-end engineers about React Native. They were phenomenal at communicating, documenting and implementing best practices. Two weeks with them saved us several months of efforts and a lot of pain. We’d hire them again in a heartbeat!”

— Rodrigo Menezes, SeedFi (acquired by Credit Karma)

Since then we’ve worked inside Expensify’s React Native codebase: consulting and training, feature development, and the CI/CD pipeline that ships it to the App Store and Google Play. Of course, among our FinTech clients, there are many more who we can’t name (those pesky NDAs!), but rest assured we have worked with some of the most influential companies within this space to help build their React Native apps.

What we build

  • Lending and credit apps. Application flows and the servicing screens borrowers check every day.
  • Payments and money movement. Wallets, P2P, checkout, tokenized cards. Built so your app never touches card data it doesn’t need. Your PCI scope will thank you.
  • Investing and banking apps. Real-time balances and market data, built to stay right when the connection flakes.
  • Native app rebuilds and team training. We move existing iOS and Android apps to React Native screen by screen, and we train your engineers to own the codebase when we’re done.

We build in React Native, so one codebase ships to iPhone and Android and a security fix reaches both at once. It’s what we’ve done for over a decade.

Senior engineers, in your time zone.

You’re going to put us through a vendor security review — good, you should. We’re a team of about 30, fully remote across the U.S., and an official Expo partner. Senior people in your own time zone: a question gets answered today, not overnight. We work alongside your engineers and build so they can run it after we’re gone.

Questions fintech teams ask us

Have you actually built fintech apps? Yes, many times. While we can’t talk about most of the projects we’ve done in this space, we can talk about how we built the React Native foundation for SeedFi’s mobile app and trained their engineers as well as shipping features and infrastructure inside Expensify’s React Native codebase.

Is React Native secure enough for a financial app? Yes. Coinbase moved its entire app to React Native, and Bloomberg built its consumer app with it. The framework isn’t the risk; the implementation is. Biometric login, encrypted storage, and certificate pinning are standard on our builds.

How do you handle PCI DSS on mobile? By keeping your app out of scope wherever we can. Tokenized payments through providers like Stripe, or Apple Pay and Google Pay, mean your app never sees card data. When scope is unavoidable, we build to it deliberately.

Can you pass our vendor security review? Yes. Our engineers have worked inside the security processes of publicly traded companies, we maintain a formal security policy, and we’ve completed SIG questionnaires. US-based engineers, no offshore handoff. The people in the review are the people on your codebase.

Can you rebuild or take over our existing native iOS or Android app? Yes. We can rewrite one screen at a time, on your release schedule, while you keep shipping (we’ll catch up to you pretty fast!). Or do a big-bang rewrite if the situation calls for it.

Do you integrate with Plaid, Stripe, and banking APIs? Yes. Bank linking through aggregators like Plaid, payments through Stripe, KYC providers, and the backend you already run. We connect to what you’ve built; we don’t make you rebuild it.

Tell us what you’re building.
